Commercial Mommy is how my friends describe me. In fact, it's how I describe myself. A Los Angeles based actress, juggling the every day demands of co-parenting three children, who are also actors. I know that I am not alone in this circus feat! I have been successful in helping my kids create careers, remain accelerated in school and evolve into beautiful human beings. By sharing my journey, strategies and insights.....I hope to be of assistance AND inspiration to all of the other commercial mommies and daddies in the biz!

Movies and Schoolwork and Family...Oh My!!

Remember when you learned about fractions and that they are just one part of a whole "thing"? I am sitting on the couch...for a brief moment in time, while the baby is napping, the son is eating lunch and the daughter is at the library. Sounds like a normal lazy day, right? WRONG! I am feeling like a fraction. A small cog in the wheel. Feeling a bit helpless because my 1o year old is lead in a feature film and all I can do is gently guide her as she delicately balances her responsibilities. School work (humungous science test today on the central and peripheral nervous system), her work responsibilities( big scenes lots of lines to memorize), her responsibilities to herself (she loves to read, journal, meditate, play, etc.), and her family obligations....playing with her little brothers, keeping her temporary room clean, making up her temporary bed...It's almost surreal. She doesn't complain, in fact she says she is having a grand time. So it is official, she has officially evolved me. She smarter, more gracious, more talented, more everything. My lil old fraction is an integral part of the "whole". YAY!!
