Commercial Mommy is how my friends describe me. In fact, it's how I describe myself. A Los Angeles based actress, juggling the every day demands of co-parenting three children, who are also actors. I know that I am not alone in this circus feat! I have been successful in helping my kids create careers, remain accelerated in school and evolve into beautiful human beings. By sharing my journey, strategies and insights.....I hope to be of assistance AND inspiration to all of the other commercial mommies and daddies in the biz!

Is her momma crazy? We better find out.....

So, my hunch was right! When you have a child actor who is being considered for a project, they audition the child AND the parent! I was talking with a VIP on set who confirmed my suspicions! He told me that production really considers what the parents are like before they make their final decision on hiring a child actor. What if I were a neurotic nut of a parent? That would make movie making process that much harder. What if i were "back seat directing", coaching Yara on her lines? Oh man, would I be a pain in the tush! Luckily my instincts have seemed to lead me in the right direction. I always strive to be as professional as possible on set. Seen and barely heard, because the truth is, there is a hierarchy on set. If you are a principal actor, more flexibility is afforded to you. But if you are an extra or a double or a mommy..... there are a different set of unspoken rules. I am collecting information ya'll!
